The weather was cool when we left to pick up Hwy 20 heading westward to Bend, Oregon. The mountains receded replaced by flatlands; some ranches had cattle, sheep and others along the way were waterlogged still. We did not take any pictures on the road today.
It gets warmer and sunnier as we arrive in Bend to the Tumalo State Park Campgrounds. It was a short drive today so we arrived early afternoon to relax. This is a nice facility just a bit northwest of Bend down in a valley. It has about 30 sites of which about half were suitable for RV’s. Our site was a little short. We are 38’ long, the site was 41’ but we got in and got the slides out.
Tomorrow we are doing some sightseeing and information gathering in Bend. We have to be at the solar panel place in Tuesday so we only have the one day here but we will be back.
