It poured rain this morning so we just sat inside feeling sorry for everyone in a tent. Just after noon it let up. It was still a grey and cloudy day but the forecast for tomorrow was not much better so we headed out.
Our first stop is the amazing little valley with Dickson Creek and Falls. The trail is only abut 1 km long and is mostly stairs and boardwalks.
We were surprised at how much moss was in this small side creek.
There were several art pieces along the trail to keep you interested while you weren’t in the actual valley.
We had no idea what this next one was supposed to be.
They should have picked a different background colour for this one. It blended in too much.
Down we go.
This valley is much cooler than the surrounding area. I remember that the last time we were here it was very hot so we came here a couple of times to cool off.
The falls are around the next corner.
And a photosphere from here.
And of course another photosphere from next to the falls.
Looking back from the falls.
Jennie climbed up and took a picture of me still down at the falls.
Farther along there was a “viewpoint” of the falls from above. It needed some work.
And one more strange art piece of body parts.
Onwards to Point Wolfe Beach. It is a wide flat bay where a river empties into the ocean.
Some more art on the trail down.
The photosphere from the trail exit.
All alone again.
A small creek trickled down from the side.
There were lots of interesting rocks to look at but almost no shells.
One more photosphere from out in the bay.
Most of the rocks did have some live snails on them.
Some had a lot.
After wandering around for a while we headed home.
The trails and beaches are so east coast,! Nature's artscapes!
