May 25 – An Inside Day

I wasn’t going to post anything today but…

It was a really lousy day, windy, cold and very rainy. We just hit the White Mountain National Forest visitors center and then did some shopping. We spent most of the day back at the RV trying to keep warm. I think the high was about 5C.

We noticed it was getting colder. It’s about 9 pm now. We have all the curtains closed to try and keep the heat in. I looked at our outdoor thermometer and it said 2C. I was still surprised when I looked out the window.

Snow on the ground at our campground is a first for us in the RV.

The forecast doesn’t say it is going below zero but I think I will disconnect the outdoor water hose and turn on the tank heaters just in case.

Time to pile on the blankets because we don’t like to leave the heaters on while we sleep.

  1. We were thinking about you when we saw the US weather news - colder temps and the possibility of snow in the mountains of the NE. We had cool weather here overnight but no frost. By the end of next week it's supposed to warm up to 30C!
